Harry’s Defence Against the Dark Arts Teachers.

• Quiverus Quirrel - Year One
  Died trying to steal the Philosophers Stone for You Know Who.
• Gilderoy Lockhart - Year Two
  Lost his memory trying to cast Obliviate on Harry Potter and Ron Weasley with Ron’s broken wand, due to Harry and Ron discovering Lockhart was a Fraud. Is still in St Mungos as far as we know.
• Remus Lupin - Year Three
  Quit his job after he was outed as a werewolf by Seveus Snape. Later joined the Order, had a son with Nymphadora Tonks, and died at the Battle of Hogwarts.
• Barty Crouch Jr [as Alastor “Mad-Eye” Moody] - Year Four
  After being revealed as an imposter, Cornelius Fudge brought a dementor to Hogwarts, and Crouch became a victim of the dementors kiss. What happened afterwards is unknown.
• Dolores Umbridge - Year Five
  Was attacked by Centaurs after being led into the Forbidden Forest by Hermione Granger. Is now in Azkaban for crimes against muggle-borns.
• Severus Snape - Year Six
  Became the headmaster of Hogwarts and continued Dumbledores orders by secretly helping Harry Potter while Harry was attempting to find and destroy horcruxes. Died during the Battle of Hogwarts.
